Trexo Robotics had a great year, and we have our sights on an even better one this year!

Trexo’s Year In Review

In 2024, we celebrated 100 million steps by Trexo users! Congratulations to the kiddos and their families.

Trexo also won an MBOT award. Trexo Robotics; Best  Innovation & Technology Company in Mississauga. Sounds pretty great — thank you, MBOT!

Thanks to the MBOT event, we meet the Brar’s team and got to know them. Our vision and values are aligned, and we are exploring ways to work together to do good.

Trexo Visitors

The best way to get to know your community, is to invite them over! We hosted a community party in the summer and met many new people and amazing supporters.

And we can’t talk about visitors without mentioning our time with Maraike.  She was granted a wish by Make-A-Wish and she chose to come to Trexo and be part of our team for a couple days. She has experience in robotics clubs and among other things, she programmed a robot, which she took home with her, while she was with us.

We also had a visit from Mississauga’s Assistant Deputy Minister, Small Business and Program Delivery, Clara Chan.

On The Road Again

Am I aging myself with that reference? 🙂

Our Roadshows were a highlight as we traveled to meet families and give kiddos the opportunity to trial Trexo. Thanks to all who hosted us and came out to meet us! Kids Physio Group were fun hosts!

Friends, A Contest and a Party

Of the many new relationships created this year, we want to mention Advocacy Abby, Kids Physio Group, Brar’s, Toyota Mobility Foundation, and MaRS Discovery District, connecting with you all has been wonderful. You all helped strengthen our belief in the power of relationships and innovation.

And to close out the year, we launched our first 12 Days of Trexmas giveaway, gifting a month of Trexo use to 11 families and a 12-month lease to the grand prize winner. Congrats to all!

We are deeply grateful to everyone who supported us this year, in big ways and small. A special thank you to our customers for trusting us and sharing their journeys. We also pause to honor the kiddos we lost last year — the kiddos and families remain in our hearts.

If your name isn’t in this message, it is only because I (Jenn) forgot temporarily. Our hearts are full of gratitude and joy for all the wonderful people we met and were supported by.

Our year ended with full hearts and immense gratitude. Thank you for being part of this journey.

And just like that, it’s February 2025 already and we have some exciting news and plans to share.

Trexo’s Podcast

We are proud to announce the launch of The Mobility Mindset with Trexo Robotics Podcast! Learn more by clicking that link. We launched on February 4th and the reaction to that first episode has been incredible. We will be dropping an episode every other week. You can always find info on the current and upcoming episodes on the link above OR you can follow our show on any platform you listen to podcasts on. We also welcome you to submit a request to be a guest on the post.

Trexo Robotics: Plans & Partners

Trexo will be hitting the road again, touring Canada, another community party, a fun summer event that I’ll tell you about as it gets closer.

We are hosting an event downtown at the MaRS Discovery District building, for PTs. We receive a lot of requests to demo the Trexo, so we are doing just that. Stay tuned for details.

I am excited to share that we partnered with Abby Zachritz (also known as Advocacy Abby) to help parents find and apply for grants and other funding sources. She will also offer guidance on fundraisers. She has a huge heart, and a whole bunch of information and she wants to help you! Reach out to her!

There is some fun stuff coming up with Brar’s, including some volunteer work, and events. Brar’s x Trexo Robotics are planning! You don’t want to miss the news. Stay tuned.

Soon you will get the details on our inclusive walks. As it warms up, we plan to host one at the Toronto Zoo. Stay tuned for the news on all the great walks.

To The Moon

You might be wondering why I titled this post Header for the Moon. After the kiddos reached 100M collective steps, we knew there was no stopping them! I asked the team what they envision the kiddos doing next. Rahul, co-founder and CTO thought it would be really cool to see them get to 500M steps = which is basically the number of steps it would take to go to the moon and back! Manmeet has his eyes on 1B steps! Wherever the kiddos in our community go, we will be following along and cheering for them.

While I’ve got you here, I am also going to share just a little more.

We have some studies coming out this year and are excited to be able to share the results once they are published. Stay tuned.

Trexo Robotics By The Numbers

Last year, during the count to 100M steps, I compiled some different numbers.

When the kiddos reached 100,000,000 steps, in time it is:

2,300,000 minutes which is 38,333.33 hours which is 1,597.22 days which is 4.37 years of consecutive walking!

100M steps is the equivalent to 5 times around the world!

37 Countries have Trexo Home and/or Plus Devices!

Over 400 Trexos are out there now!

The power of innovation, the love of parents and the determination and hard work of kiddos combine for such joy, pride and awe.

Brar’s CEO Kiran Mann and Owner Dial Pabla came to visit us and learn more about Trexo. We met them at the MBOT awards and are enjoying partnering with them to increase our impact.

Trexo had a couple meet-ups last year. The kiddos came together to walk with their families and some Trexo teammates. This year we will be doing even more events and visiting some cool places.

Trexo was nominated for, and won, the award for Best Innovative & Technology Business in Mississauga. Mississauga Board of Trade (MBOT) held an evening of awards for local businesses. Winning was an honor. Meeting other businesses in our community was really great.

We were so excited for the kiddos, who reached a major milestone, that we had a party in the office to celebrate internally and we hosted a party where friends of Trexo joined us for a wonderful night of fun.

Maraike and her Dad spent some time with us at the office. Maraike assembled a Trexo and tested it out, play with Toby (Linda’s dog), she programmed a robot with Niel, and sat with various team members to learn how things work. She was a delight and we were thrilled to have her.
