Trexo is not currently available in the U.S.

At Trexo Robotics, we envision a world where everyone who wishes to walk can do so independently and confidently. This vision guides everything we do, fueling our mission to build not just exoskeletons, but the exoskeleton company of the world.

Our Vision: Mobility for Everyone

Imagine a future where walking is not a privilege reserved for some, but a right accessible to all. Whether born with a disability, facing an injury, or navigating the natural process of aging, mobility challenges affect each of us at some point.

At Trexo, we believe that walking is a human right, and that everyone who wishes to walk, should be able to walk. It’s ambitious—but achievable.

The Exoskeleton Company of the World

On our journey of building the exoskeleton company of the world, we realized that we must also build the exoskeleton factory of the world. To truly achieve our vision at scale, we must become exceptional manufacturers.

Our ambition is to build a state-of-the-art facility capable of producing high-quality, affordable exoskeletons at scale.

A vertically integrated model ensures that we control quality, reduce costs, and continuously innovate in response to user needs. We anticipate a long journey of many R&D cycles and iterations, and having engineering and manufacturing closely tied together is necessary to win.

AI, Data, and the Evolution of Walking

When we think of exoskeletons, we think of Iron-Man, pushing the boundaries and getting to super human capabilities. Of-course, we don’t have the cold fusion reactors yet, but along with the energy problem, there is an existing interface problem.

How does the Exo understand what the user is trying to do? This Human-Exo interface needs to be so closely aligned, because otherwise, the Exo will impede the human’s movement.

If you or I are wearing an exoskeleton and walking in it, this interface needs to work 99.9% of the time, otherwise it will get so annoying that we will take it off and put it aside.

Our path to building the exoskeleton company of the world, comes from unlocking this interface problem.

This is a problem naturally suited to be solved through data. Each user has a slightly unique gait pattern, and slightly different signals to indicate changes in intention and state.

A general walking model that can be built of 100s of millions of steps of data, when trained on a specific user, will adapt to the needs of that user. It would provide assistance in areas that the user needs, and back off when the user doesn’t. It could be trained to make the user work harder, to ensure they are getting stronger, or trained to primarily provide mobility assistance in a safe and energy efficient manner.

What’s the secret sauce at Trexo – it’s software powered by data and AI. Right now, every Trexo step is captured, and we have created the largest dataset of human walking patterns on the planet, covering over 100M steps of time-sliced data showing their walking style and effort.

This data will help us build AI models that learn how to predict exactly what the user wants, providing assistance precisely when and how it’s needed. It’s not just smarter tech; it’s personalized mobility at scale.

Levels of Exoskeleton Assistance

Today, we’re excited to launch the Levels of Exoskeleton Assistance—a clear, intuitive framework inspired by autonomous driving levels. This framework helps everyone—users, caregivers, therapists, researchers, and innovators alike—understand and track progress in exoskeleton development and automation:

Exoskeleton

  • Level 0: Manually Adjusted Complete control in the hands of the caregiver/user
  • Level 1: Recommendation Engine – The exoskeleton recommends gait changes based on usage patterns.
  • Level 2: Gait Modifications – The Exo can tweak the gait cycle based on usage patterns.
  • Level 3: Common State Automation – The Exo can automatically handle common state changes based on intent -> standing, walking, direction change.
  • Level 4: High State Automation – The Exo handles all situations under certain conditions.
  • Level 5: Full Automation – The Exo can handle all situations under all conditions.

Unlocking Personal Autonomy

We have observed firsthand the transformative impact even basic control provides our users. Take, for example, Alex—a user who clearly expressed the desire for independence by initiating her own movements. The emotional and psychological benefits of control and autonomy are universal.

As our powered assist technology advances, we move ever closer to a self-walking exoskeleton—transforming lives by enabling independence and dignity.

Why This Matters

Our ambition goes beyond hardware. We’re dedicated to harnessing data-driven insights and AI to understand and enhance human-exoskeleton interactions deeply.

Just as self-driving cars learn from miles on the road, our exoskeletons learn from steps taken, continuously improving and adapting.

The Journey Ahead

Our roadmap is ambitious, but so is our vision. Each step forward is a step closer to a world where mobility is universal. At Trexo Robotics, we won’t stop innovating until everyone who dreams of walking has the opportunity to do so.

This is the Trexo Master Plan—and together, we’re making it a reality.
